Manchester United's clash with Aston Villa is the pick of the games selected to be broadcast live when the FA Cup third round takes place in January.

With ties scheduled across four dates early next year, football fans will be glued to their TV sets and devices as the big guns join the competition in its 150th anniversary season.

Which FA Cup third-round games will be live on TV?

The first match supporters can watch live and for free is Swindon's home clash with Premier League champions Manchester City on Friday, January 7.

Pep Guardiola's side will be the overwhelming favourites to win the tie, which kicks off at 8pm and will be broadcast on ITV1 and ITV Hub.

The following day, settle back and enjoy a London derby between Millwall and Crystal Palace at 12.45pm on ITV1, followed by Everton's visit to Hull at 5.30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

On Sunday, January 9, West Ham's home tie with Premier League rivals Leeds will be live on ITV1 and ITV Hub at 2.15pm.

Attention then switches from the London Stadium to the City Ground for Nottingham Forest's clash with Arsenal at 5.15pm, which is also on ITV1 and ITV Hub.

And the best has arguably been saved until last as United play host to Steven Gerrard's Villa at Old Trafford on Monday, January 10.

The standout clash of the third round kicks off at 7.55pm and can be viewed on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
