Exeter signed off in style with a 3-1 win against Huddersfield in their final home League One game of the season .
The Terriers went in front from their first effort on goal after 20 minutes when Josh Koroma found himself in space on the left and curled a delightful finish into the far corner from 20 yards.
However, Exeter drew level in the 39th minute when Jack McMillan broke free down the right and crossed low into the box where Ilmari Niskanen came charging in at the back post to fire past Jacob Chapman.
An entertaining second half saw Sonny Cox denied by Chapman while Joe Whitworth came to Exeter’s rescue, making a fine save to deny Koroma.
From the resulting corner, Herbie Kane volleyed a stunning effort into the bottom corner which was chalked off for offside and McMillan had the ball in the net for Exeter after 56 minutes, finishing smartly from a long Alex Hartridge throw, which was flicked on by Angus MacDonald.
Whitworth made a superb one-handed save to deny Koroma, while Matty Pearson sent a header against the crossbar.
However, Exeter sealed the points in stoppage time with Andrew Oluwabori scoring his first EFL goal from close range from Tony Yogane’s cross.
