Everton have signed Denmark internationals Kathrine Moller Kuhl and Rikke Madsen.

The duo made an immediate impact from the bench during the Toffees' 3-0 win over Aston Villa in the Women's FA Cup.

Kuhl reunites with her former FC Nordsjaelland manager Brian Sorensen on loan from Arsenal after struggling for game time in North London.

The talented midfielder, 20, made just two Women's Super League appearances for the Gunners this season and was happy to complete the temporary move to Merseyside.

She said: "It feels really good to sign for Everton. I'm really looking forward to this experience. Everton's a big club and it's a privilege to be here.

"My experience so far in the WSL has been really good. I feel I've learnt a lot having come from the Danish league to England.

"It's a big step. It's an enjoyable and competitive league and I enjoy playing here.

"Everton felt like a good opportunity for me to come and play alongside some really good players and hopefully gain some minutes."

Madsen joined Everton on an 18-month deal after a stint with National Women's Soccer League side North Carolina Courage.

The striker, 26, was equally pleased with her move and is looking forward to contributing in Sorensen's attack.

She said: "I'm so happy to be here. I've been eager to get to this club and to play in this league. I cannot wait to get started.

"I want to develop and become the best player I can be. I can't wait to play in the WSL. I've heard so many good things about it.

"I've heard a lot of good things about the club. It's a really good environment, good team-mates and the organisation as a whole.

"I just wanted to be a part of that."

The Toffees saw off Villa at the Bescot Stadium thanks to Karoline Olesen's 58th-minute opener and a double from Katja Snoeijs, with the second of her goals coming from the penalty spot.
