- Athletic Bilbao are appearing in their first European semi-final since 2012
- This is the furthest Djurgardens have ever got in Europe
- England could have three teams in the finals

European final places are at stake on Thursday when the first legs of the Europa League and Conference League semi-finals take place, with all four matches kicking off at 8pm.

In the Europa League, Manchester United and Tottenham, who have both endured poor domestic campaigns, will be looking to move one step closer to potentially facing each other in the final.

Another Premier League club looking to reach a final is Chelsea, who have been the firm favourites to win the Conference League from the start and face a trip to Djurgardens in the opening leg of their last-four tie.

Athletic Bilbao vs Manchester United (Thursday, 8pm)

United's trials and tribulations continued against 10-man Bournemouth at the weekend, with the Red Devils scraping a 1-1 draw at the Vitality Stadium courtesy of Rasmus Hojlund's stoppage-time equaliser.

Ruben Amorim's side are without a win in four away matches, conceding eight goals during that period, and they may struggle to overcome a Bilbao outfit that are on a 10-game unbeaten run at home.

Bilbao also have the added incentive that the final will be played at their home ground, the San Mames, and the Spanish team look capable of taking an advantage to Old Trafford for the return leg.

Score prediction: Athletic Bilbao 3-0 Manchester United

Tottenham vs Bodo/Glimt (Thursday, 8pm)

Tottenham were thumped 5-1 by champions Liverpool on Sunday, making it three league defeats in a row, but Spurs have been better in Europe and have put all their eggs in the Europa League basket.

Ange Postecoglou's side are unbeaten at home in this year's competition, winning four and drawing two, but they are still defensively fragile and may struggle to stop Bodo/Glimt from scoring.

The Norwegian outfit stunned Lazio in the quarter-finals and they head to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium unbeaten in their last eight fixtures, scoring two times or more in six of those.

Score prediction: Tottenham 2-1 Bodo/Glimt

Djurgardens vs Chelsea (Thursday, 8pm)

Chelsea have built some momentum with back-to-back league victories and they should have more than enough to get the better of Djurgardens, who have stumbled into this Conference League semi-final.

The Swedish outfit have won just one of their last four home assignments, failing to score in three of those, and they could be in for a difficult evening against attacking opposition.

Score prediction: Djurgardens 0-3 Chelsea

Real Betis vs Fiorentina (Thursday, 8pm)

Betis have suffered just one defeat from their last 13 matches in all competitions but they now face a Fiorentina side that are unbeaten in nine games, winning six and drawing three.

These two teams are bang in form and this could turn out to be an entertaining semi-final, with Betis last failing to score in February and Fiorentina notching in 11 of their last 12 outings.

Score prediction: Real Betis 2-2 Fiorentina
