Excitement is building for Euro 2024 as nations edge closer to booking their spot at next summer's finals.

We have rounded up all you need to know about the tournament's group stage draw.

When is the Euro 2024 group stage draw?

The draw for Euro 2024's group stage will take place on Saturday in Hamburg — one of the tournament's 10 host cities.

Proceedings are currently scheduled to kick off at 5pm BST with all 21 qualified nations plus teams set to contest the play-offs divided into six groups of four.

How did teams qualify for Euro 2024?

As hosts, Germany qualified automatically for the finals and will be joined by 23 other nations.

The qualifiers are now complete, with the top two sides from each of 10 groups sealing a place at Euro 2024.

That leaves three final berths up for grabs, which will be determined via a set of play-offs that will take place in March 2024.

Twelve teams will be taking part, made up of the non-qualified nations who performed best in the 2022-23 Nations League.

There will be six semi-finals and three finals to determine the trio of countries completing the Euro 2024 line-up.

Which nations have already qualified for Euro 2024?

Hosts Germany have been joined by Albania, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, France, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Scotland, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland and Turkiye.

How will the Euro 2024 draw work?

Twenty-one of the 24 nations taking part in Euro 2024 have been confirmed.

Each country has been allocated to one of four pots, based on their results in qualifying. Play-off winners will come from pot four.

A team from each pot will be placed in each of the six groups, while their position within the group will also be determined by a separate set of pots.

As Germany are hosts, they are automatically placed in spot one of Group A.

Where can I watch the Euro 2024 draw?

The Euro 2024 draw is set to be streamed live on UEFA's website and on the official Euro 2024 app, as well as through external broadcasters.

For the third European Championship running, 16 of the 24 nations will qualify to the knockout stages.

The top two countries from each group will be joined by the four best-performing third-placed sides — meaning only eight countries will exit at the first hurdle

At Euro 2016, when the 24-nation format was used for the first time, Portugal progressed through the group stage as a third-placed side and went on to lift the trophy.
