Frank Lampard has turned things around for Coventry since taking charge

- Sheffield United finished third in the Championship
- Leyton Orient grabbed the last play-off spot in League One
- Walsall were on course for the League Two title at one stage

After 46 regular season games, the Championship, League One and League Two campaigns have reached the play-offs, with the first legs of the semi-final ties taking place from Thursday to Sunday this week.

Championship

Bristol City vs Sheffield United (Thursday, 8pm)

Bristol City stumbled into the play-offs, failing to win any of their last three games as they finished in sixth position, but they are on an eight-match unbeaten run at home and could pose a problem to Sheffield United in the first leg at Ashton Gate.

The Blades missed out on automatic promotion and while their form has picked up, taking seven points from the last 12 on offer, they have lost three of their last four away fixtures.

Score prediction: Bristol City 1-1 Sheffield United

Coventry vs Sunderland (Friday, 8pm)

Sunderland's play-off place was secured some time ago and that could be a contributing factor to their drastic drop off in form, with five defeats in a row and no win in six.

The Black Cats will need to rally quickly against a Coventry side that beat Middlesbrough 2-0 at home on the final day to secure their top-six finish, a result that also means the Sky Blues have won seven of their last eight assignments at the CBS Arena.

Score prediction: Coventry 2-0 Sunderland

League One

Leyton Orient vs Stockport (Saturday, 12.30pm)

A six-match winning run helped Leyton Orient sneak into the League One play-offs and their reward is a tough tie against Stockport, who are unbeaten in eight (W7 D1).

There have been plenty of goals for these two teams this season, netting 72 times each, and a high-scoring draw could be on the agenda at Brisbane Road.

Score prediction: Leyton Orient 2-2 Stockport

Wycombe vs Charlton (Sunday, 6.30pm)

Three defeats in a row has knocked Wycombe's confidence and they could struggle to stop a Charlton side that have won six of their last eight matches.

The Addicks have triumphed in three of their last four away contests and they will feel confident of taking an advantage back to The Valley for the return leg.

Score prediction: Wycombe 1-3 Charlton

League Two

Notts County vs AFC Wimbledon (Saturday, 8pm)

Just a point separated these two teams at the end of the League Two season and neither head into this first leg in sparkling form, with Notts County winning just one of their last six games and AFC Wimbledon tasting success once from five outings.

Both sides won their home fixtures in the regular campaign, with neither game producing over 2.5 goals, and a cagey affair is expected at Meadow Lane.

Score prediction: Notts County 0-0 AFC Wimbledon

Chesterfield vs Walsall (Sunday, 3.30pm)

Only Doncaster and Port Vale, who finished first and second respectively, accumulated more points over the final 13 matches of the regular season than Chesterfield and that should provide Sunday's hosts with huge confidence.

The Spireites are on a six-game unbeaten run and they can get the better of a Walsall side who were 12 points clear at the top in January, only to suffer a dramatic collapse and miss out on automatic promotion.

Walsall have won just one of their last 14 fixtures and may find life difficult at the SMH Group Stadium.

Score prediction: Chesterfield 3-1 Walsall
