  • Australia have won all three matches in this series to take 14-11 lead in the head-to-head

  • Shai Hope has registered scores of 55, 9 and 102 not out in the first three T20Is

  • Recommended bet: Shai Hope to score over 25.5 runs

Australia have maintained their superiority over West Indies by taking an unassailable lead in the five-match series with a thumping six-wicket in the third T20, following on from their 3-0 sweep in the Test arena.

After a narrow three-wicket win in the first T20, Australia have been wholly more convincing in the next two, recording eight-wicket and six-wicket victories to make a good start to their T20 World Cup preparations.

Having done the hard work with an under-strength squad, the Baggy Greens may opt to experiment with their final two selections as they go for their second sweep of the tour, with the series staying at Warner Park for the fourth T20.

West indies have some thinking to do after the tourists chased down the victory target of 215 with almost four overs to spare in the third T20, although captain Shai Hope took the heat off his bowlers and suggested they had not put enough runs on the board.

Team news

West Indies may make changes given they have struggled to contain the tourists in any of the three matches so far, with Jediah Blades proving expensive on his T20 debut in the third game, and Alzarri Joseph could be brought back in.

Romario Shepherd was the other change to the hosts' XI from the first two matches and although he too was expensive, he took two wickets and may keep his place.

Mathew Forde is another potential bowling option, while Evin Lewis will be hopeful of his first involvement of the series, given his captain has lamented a shortage of runs.

What path Australia take remains a little open to question and they may opt to experiment further having wrapped up the series.

Tim David was given a rare chance in the top five and grasped it with both hands, scoring a blistering hundred, and will be hopeful of another chance high up the order, as will Mitchell Owen after scoring 50 and 36 not out in his first two international innings.

Slow bowler Matthew Kuhnemann may be on the sidelines again given the shorter boundaries at Warner Park, with Australia perhaps likely to stick with a largely seam attack.

The stats

Coming into the series, the head-to-head record between the two sides was locked at 11 wins apiece.

Following three successive wins in this series, Australia have now won eight of the last nine T20s against West Indies.

Mitchell Marsh has won the toss for Australia in all three matches in this series, choosing to bowl each time.

Eleven of the 13 completed T20is at Warner Park — including each of the last five — have been won by the team batting second.

Tim David cracked the fastest T20 hundred for Australia in Friday's win, taking just 37 balls, while his 16-ball fifty was also the fastest by an Australian.

Australia have now chased down a 200-plus target six times, and West Indies have failed to defend a 200-plus target on six occasions — both T20I records.

Prediction

Australia are worthy favourites once again but there is a little uncertainty over the make-up of their side, not just on the personnel front but also the batters' positions in the line-up.

Therefore it may pay to focus on the hosts as they had indicated they were looking for continuity and could be more predictable in their plans.

And, not for the first time, Hope looks the man to side with despite his rare recent failure in the second T20. The Windies skipper smashed 55 in the first T20 and struck the first hundred of the entire tour with an unbeaten 102 in the third at this venue, coming off just 57 balls.

His last six T20I innings read 49, 45, 51, 55, 9 and 102 not out, and while odds of 5/2 with LiveScore to top score for his side look tempting, so too does his run line.
