Southern Brave take on Oval Invincibles in the 19th match of the 2025 Hundred competition on Monday looking to get their revenge for a 17-run defeat in last season's final.

That will not be easy, though, as the Invincibles are going well again, winning three of their first four matches including an 83-run hammering of the Welsh Fire in their latest outing on Saturday.

The Brave made a fast start to this season's competition with wins in their first two matches but they have since suffered back-to-back defeats against Northern Superchargers and Trent Rockets.

Prediction

There is only one match in The Hundred on Monday but it is a cracker and Oval Invincibles should be confident of repeating last season's final success against Southern Brave.

However, a more attractive bet at slightly better odds than their price to win the match is to take the Invincibles to post the higher opening partnership of the two sides.

The visiting batters should be buzzing after positing a competition record total of 226-4 against the Fire on Saturday and while Jordan Cox was the hero in that match with 86 not out off 29 balls batting at number three, Will Jacks (38) and Tawanda Muyeye (33) had got the innings off to a solid start by putting on 76 for the first wicket. 

With 114 against the Originals and 34 against the Spirit in their first two matches, the Invincibles are not accustomed to early struggles, while the Brave have scored more than 14 for their first pairing in just one of their first four matches.

The Invincibles' attack could exploit that weakness after bagging their first wicket with the first ball of the innings against the Fire, while none of their other three opponents managed an opening partnership of more than 18.
