Birmingham Phoenix vs London Spirit predictions: Visitors to secure crucial victory

Birmingham Phoenix are bottom of the standings
London Spirit have won two and lost two of their first four matches
Recommended bet: London Spirit to win
Birmingham Phoenix have endured a disappointing start to the 2025 Hundred and things could be about to get even worse when they welcome London Spirit to Edgbaston on Sunday.
Phoenix currently prop up the table with just one victory from their first four matches and they face a difficult challenge against a Spirit outfit who have won two of their last three games.
Team news
After a 36-run defeat to Northern Superchargers last time out, the hosts may decide to make some alterations to their side, with Dan Mousley and Tom Helm pushing to be involved.
The Spirit are expected to stick with the same starting XI who recorded a comfortable 21-run victory over Trent Rockets last time out, with Jamie Smith and David Warner continuing at the top of the order.
The capital outfit could be tempted into a change in the bowling department, with Luke Wood having taken just one wicket in three matches and Olly Stone is in contention to place his fellow seamer.

Prediction
Birmingham have failed to fire in this year's Hundred and had it not been for Livingstone's heroics two matches ago, the Phoenix would have lost all four matches.
Instead, the 2021 runners-up have managed to at least pick up one victory, but any hopes of a revival were swiftly dismissed by the Superchargers last time out, as Birmingham lost by 36 runs.
Ben Duckett has failed to fire at the top of the order and Jacob Bethell has not had the impact expected of him, while an ageing bowling attack have been picked apart.
London have started to click of late, picking up two wins from their last three matches and they have plenty of quality with the likes of Kane Williamson, Warner, Ollie Pope, Smith, Liam Dawson and Richard Gleeson.
There is a good balance to this Spirit side and they were impressive in the 21-run victory over the Rockets last time out, with Worrell and Gleeson shining with the ball.
With Birmingham struggling in several areas and London seemingly on the up, this looks like a great opportunity for the visitors to keep their spirits up.
