&w=707&quality=100)
- Coventry are seventh in the Championship
- Preston are 15th in the table
- Recommended bet: Coventry to win
Coventry are making an impressive charge up the Championship table under Frank Lampard and can stay in contention for a play-off place with victory at home over Preston on Saturday.
The Sky Blues are seventh, just a point behind West Brom immediately above them, as the race to make the top six in the second tier continues.
Preston are down in 15th place but will still feel they can compete for a play-off spot as well in the second half of the season as they are only six points off sixth.
Team news
Victor Torp missed Coventry's win at Sheffield Wednesday with a minor knock but is expected to be fit for Saturday.
Haji Wright and Ben Sheaf are both closing in on returns and will be assessed ahead of the game.
Preston's Lewis Gibson suffered a knock against Millwall on Tuesday but should be fine to line up at the Coventry Building Society Arena.
Ben Whiteman and Jordan Storey remain on the sidelines for the visitors, while Jack Whatmough is a major doubt for the weekend.

The stats
Coventry have won six of their last seven league games, losing only to leaders Leeds in that run.
The Sky Blues have kept four clean sheets in those last seven Championship outings.
Preston have drawn the most games (15) in the division this season — along with West Brom.
North End have won the last three meetings between the sides, which includes a 1-0 success at Deepdale in October.
Prediction
Preston picked up yet another point on Tuesday when they were held 1-1 at home by Millwall but Paul Heckingbottom's side will have to start turning draws into victories soon if they are to challenge for a play-off place.
Coventry, however, are already very much in the top-six mix after a fine run of form in 2025 and last weekend's win at Sheffield Wednesday was their sixth victory in their last seven league outings.
Lampard's team have made a happy habit of scoring crucial late winners recently with the 1-0 home success over QPR and the victory at Hillsborough both achieved thanks to injury-time goals from Bobby Thomas and Ellis Simms.
City are building momentum nicely with spring approaching and should be confident of securing another vital three points on Saturday as they look to stay firmly in contention for the play-offs.
