Club World Cup outright predictions: PSG will take some stopping

&w=707&quality=100)
- The 2025 Club World Cup contains an expanded roster of 32 teams
- Real Madrid, PSG, and Man City are the betting favourites to win the Club World Cup
- Recommended bet: Paris Saint-Germain to win the Club World Cup
The Club World Cup has been overhauled and expanded for the 2025 edition, with 32 of the world’s top teams competing for the crown as host-nation United States look to build up interest ahead of their 2026 World Cup next summer.
Manchester City are the defending champions, but the new format pits them against fellow European heavyweights such as Chelsea, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and Paris Saint-Germain, along with South America’s biggest clubs, and at least one club from each of the six confederations.
The tournament will kick off with Al-Ahly vs Inter Miami in the early hours of Sunday, 15th June, culminating in the final at the MetLife Stadium on Sunday, 13th July.
Les Parisiens to build on historic season
Real Madrid are 4/1 favourites with LiveScore Bet to win the newly expanded Club World Cup in the United States this summer, but Paris Saint-Germain are a close second in the betting and look the best value to add to their fantastic season.
Led by a rejuvenated Ousmane Dembele, who appears to be thriving in his new role of leader and mentor to one of the most exciting young squads in world football, Les Parisiens won a historic treble in 2024-25, and they will be hoping to maintain their momentum in their first-ever Club World Cup campaign.
Luis Enrique’s triumph in Ligue 1 and the Coupe de France was expected, but the Spaniard will go down in PSG history after delivering a long-awaited Champions League trophy to the French capital.
Billions of euros have been spent in pursuit of this singular goal since Qatar Sports Investment took charge of the club in 2011, but where the superstars of the past failed to deliver, PSG’s new, youthful approach succeeded.
Desire Doue, Joao Neves, Nuno Mendes, and Bradley Barcola have emerged as some of Europe’s leading youngsters this season, and combined with the experience of Dembele, Marquinhos, Lucas Hernandez and others, it has made PSG look nigh-on unstoppable in the past few months.
They recovered from a 2-0 deficit to beat Manchester City 4-2 in January and they have not looked back since, dispatching both Arsenal and Liverpool in the Champions League before demolishing Inter Milan 5-0 in the final in Munich.
With confidence on their side, PSG should have no problem navigating their group of Atletico Madrid, Botafogo, and Seattle Sounders, even without Dembele, who is likely to miss the group stage. If they carry their 2025 form into the Club World Cup, it will be difficult for any team to stop them.

Die Bayern look primed for deep run
Should PSG and Bayern Munich live up to their favouritism in the group stages, that would put the Bavarian side in the opposite side of the draw to the French giants, opening the door for a deep run for Die Bayern.
The Germans have won the Club World Cup twice and would likely be pitted against Manchester City, Inter Milan, and Porto in their side of the knockout-stage draw.
Pep Guardiola’s Citizens would pose the biggest threat, but they have endured a disappointing trophyless season and head to the United States missing the departed Kevin De Bruyne.
