Chelsea vs Leicester City predictions: Toothless Foxes to be outclassed

&w=707&quality=100)
- Leicester have lost 11 of their last 12 league games
- The Foxes have failed to score in four league matches
- Recommended bet: Chelsea to win to nil
Despite having won only three of their last 11 Premier League matches, Chelsea remain in a commanding position to secure a top-four finish and they should strengthen their case with a routine win over relegation-threatened Leicester.
The Blues are favourites to win the Conference League and they claimed a 2-1 win away in Copenhagen in their last-16 tie on Thursday.
However, the quick turnaround is unlikely to deter them against such struggling visitors in Leicester, who have lost 12 of their last 14 matches in all competitions and, five points adrift of safety, are running out of time to secure their survival.
Chelsea have been beaten only twice in 13 league games at Stamford Bridge, winning on seven occasions, and they should have far too much quality and confidence for the fragile Foxes.
Team news
Chelsea remain slightly short in attack with Nicolas Jackson and Noni Madueke sidelined while Spanish teenager Marc Guiu is another forward option missing.
Defenders Wesley Fofana and Benoit Badiashile still yet to play in 2025 but they have returned to full training while Trevoh Chalobah is also back in contention.
Romeo Lavia is another back in training but this match is likely to come too soon while Malo Gusto is a doubt after limping off inside 25 minutes in Thursday’s 2-1 win in Copenhagen.
For Leicester, Abdul Fatawu, Nathaniel Opoku, Ricardo Pereira and Harry Souttar remain long-term absentees.
However, Woyo Coulibaly is available after missing the defeat by West Ham with injury.
The stats
Chelsea are seeking a fifth consecutive win over Leicester in all competitions.
Chelsea have lost only one of their last 12 home league games, winning each of their last three at Stamford Bridge.
Leicester have lost 11 of their last 12 league games, failing to score in their last four league matches.
The Foxes are the only Premier League side yet to keep a clean sheet away from home this season.
Ruud Van Nistelrooy has picked up just seven points in his 14 games in charge of Leicester.
Cole Palmer has not scored or assisted in any of his last six Premier League games, his longest drought since joining Chelsea in 2023.

Prediction
Chelsea will be targeting Conference League glory but they are still fifth in the Premier League and within one point of fourth-placed Manchester City, so have plenty left to play for domestically.
The Blues brushed aside Southampton 4-0 in their last home league game and, with injuries starting to clear, especially in defence, they should be targeting a similar outcome against second-bottom Leicester.
The Foxes are looking extremely short on firepower, still relying on veteran Jamie Vardy to provide their attacking verve, and they have lost their last four league games without scoring.
That includes firing blanks in defeat in their last two away games at Everton and West Ham, so Chelsea should be hopeful of standing firm with a clean sheet.
