All 24 Championship teams are in action over the weekend, with second-placed Sheffield United entertaining Hull City first up on Friday evening.
There are 10 matches on Saturday and one on Monday, when Burnley host leaders Leeds United in a highly-anticipated showdown at Turf Moor.
Sheffield United vs Hull City (Friday, 8pm)
The Blades are only a point off Leeds at the top following their 2-1 victory at Swansea on Tuesday and they should have too much at home for Hull, who are in the bottom three after a 2-1 home reverse against QPR.
Score prediction: Sheffield United 2-0 Hull City
Luton Town vs Millwall (Saturday, 12.30pm)
Luton's poor campaign continued with a 3-2 defeat at Oxford on Tuesday and they have now lost five of their last six Championship games.
Millwall were held 2-2 by Cardiff, but they should be able to secure all three points at Kenilworth Road.
Score prediction: Luton 1-2 Millwall
Norwich City vs Swansea City (Saturday, 12.30pm)
With just two points separating Norwich, who are 12th and 15th-placed Swansea, this could be a close clash at Carrow Road.
Score prediction: Norwich City 1-1 Swansea City
Stoke City vs Oxford United (Saturday, 12.30pm)
Stoke have now gone four league games without a win after going down 3-1 at Portsmouth in midweek and their search for three points could be extended beyond this weekend.
Oxford have won their last two games against Blackburn and Luton and look capable of picking up a point against the Potters.
Score prediction: Stoke City 1-1 Oxford United
Bristol City vs Blackburn Rovers (Saturday, 3pm)
Blackburn's play-off hopes have been hit by successive defeats to Oxford and Coventry, when John Eustace's men failed to even get on the scoresheet.
A tricky trip to Ashton Gate may only bring more frustration for the visitors as they prepare to take on a Bristol City outfit who have won four of their last five league games at home to nil.
Score prediction: Bristol City 2-0 Blackburn Rovers
Cardiff City vs Derby County (Saturday, 3pm)
Two sides who sit just outside the bottom three meet in an important clash in south Wales when Cardiff entertain Derby.
The Bluebirds are in better form – they are unbeaten in their last six second-tier games, although four of those matches have been draws – and they can edge out the Rams, who head into the game on the back of five straight losses.
Score prediction: Cardiff City 1-0 Derby County
Coventry City vs Watford (Saturday, 3pm)
Coventry appear to be picking up under Frank Lampard after they followed up their home win over Bristol City with an eye-catching 2-0 victory at Blackburn.
The Sky Blues can edge up closer to the play-off places with a home win over a Watford side who have won just one of their last six in the league and were beaten at home by Preston on Tuesday.
Score prediction: Coventry City 3-1 Watford
Preston North End vs Middlesbrough (Saturday, 3pm)
Preston's away win at Watford means they head into the home clash with fifth-placed Middlesbrough in good shape.
This could be a tight clash and the Teessiders, who are fifth, may have to settle for a draw, meaning their indifferent away form continues.
Score prediction: Preston North End 1-1 Middlesbrough
QPR vs Sheffield Wednesday (Saturday, 3pm)
A mid-table showdown between QPR and Sheffield Wednesday is expected to be another closely-fought tussle which may well end all square.
Score prediction: QPR 0-0 Sheffield Wednesday
Sunderland vs Plymouth Argyle (Saturday, 3pm)
Sunderland are five points off leaders Leeds as the promotion race hots up in the Championship and the fourth-placed Black Cats should stay firmly in contention by beating Plymouth, who are bottom and were hammered 5-0 at home by Burnley on Wednesday.
Score prediction: Sunderland 3-0 Plymouth Argyle
West Bromwich Albion vs Portsmouth (Saturday, 3pm)
Tony Mowbray will hope for his first win since returning as West Brom boss after his side went down to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of one of his other former clubs, Middlesbrough, in midweek.
The Baggies should get the better of Pompey at The Hawthorns, ending the visitors' two-game winning streak in the process.
Score prediction: West Bromwich Albion 2-1 Portsmouth
Burnley vs Leeds United (Monday, 8pm)
The game of the weekend in the Championship takes place on Monday when third-placed Burnley welcome leaders Leeds to Turf Moor.
The Whites are a point clear at the top after a routine 2-0 home win over Norwich and they can follow up by overcoming the Clarets to dent their hopes of catching them in the promotion race.
Score prediction: Burnley 0-1 Leeds United
