- A Madrid derby hosted by Real tops the bill
- There is an all-German clash as Bayer Leverkusen visit Bayern Munich
- Premier League leaders Liverpool go to Paris Saint-Germain

With Europe's elite clubs looking to take the first step to securing a quarter-final place before the second legs next week, we have a score prediction for each of the first-leg matches.

Club Brugge vs Aston Villa (Tuesday, 5.45pm)

Club Brugge were one of only two lower seeds to make the last 16 after ranking 24th in the League Phase but they beat Aston Villa 1-0 at home in November and could prove to be tricky opponents again. They should at least be able to set up a tense second leg at Villa Park.

Score prediction: Club Brugge 1-1 Aston Villa

Borussia Dortmund vs Lille (Tuesday, 8pm)

Lille were blown away 4-1 by PSG in Paris on Saturday but they have had some good results in this competition, beating both Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.Dortmund are only 10th in the Bundesliga but have also done well in Europe and should edge the first leg.

Score prediction: Borussia Dortmund 2-1 Lille

PSV Eindhoven vs Arsenal (Tuesday, 8pm)

Both these teams are going through a poor spell of form and while Arsenal have been struggling for goals, PSV have kept only one clean sheet in their last 14 matches and the Gunners should have the quality to come through.

Score prediction: PSV Eindhoven 1-2 Arsenal

Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid (Tuesday, 8pm)

The last three Madrid derbies have ended 1-1 and another close contest is on the cards with Atletico in excellent shape while Real lost at Real Betis on Saturday.

Score prediction: Real Madrid 1-1 Atletico Madrid

Feyenoord vs Inter (Wednesday, 5.45pm)

Inter stayed top of Serie A with a 1-1 draw at rivals Napoli on Saturday and while Feyenoord knocked out AC Milan in the play-off round, the Serie A high-flyers can gain an advantage in the tie.

Score prediction: Feyenoord 0-1 Inter

Bayern Munich vs Bayer Leverkusen (Wednesday, 8pm)

The top two teams in Germany have drawn 1-1 and 0-0 in their two meetings this season and there may not be much between them again, however, a more entertaining match can be expected this time with Bayern under pressure to try to take a lead into the second leg.

Score prediction: Bayern Munich 2-2 Bayer Leverkusen

Benfica vs Barcelona (Wednesday, 8pm)

Barcelona won a thrilling game between these teams 5-4 in the League Phase in Lisbon and goals look set to flow again with both teams in fine scoring form, but it may be a touch more comfortable for the Spanish side this time.

Score prediction: Benfica 2-4 Barcelona

Paris Saint-Germain vs Liverpool (Wednesday, 8pm)

PSG thrashed fellow Ligue 1 side Brest 10–0 in the play-off round and they look capable of securing an 11th straight success when Premier League leaders Liverpool visit.

The home side's talented wingers are capable of perplexing the Reds' defence.

Score prediction: Paris Saint-Germain 3-1 Liverpool
