Bournemouth vs Ipswich predictions: Cherries can bounce back against Tractor Boys

&w=707&quality=100)
- Bournemouth are 10th in the table
- Ipswich are 18th, nine points from safety
- Recommended bet: Bournemouth to win and both teams to score
Bournemouth suffered FA Cup heartache at the hands of Manchester City on Sunday but they can respond positively by seeing off relegation-threatened Ipswich at the Vitality Stadium on Wednesday.
Ahead of the midweek fixtures in the top flight, the Cherries are only five points off the top four in a congested top half so they will be aiming to finish what has been another solid campaign under Andoni Iraola strongly.
Ipswich, meanwhile, are staring at a quick return to the Championship as they are 18th and nine points from safety with just nine games to play.
Team news
Bournemouth duo Luis Sinisterra and Enes Unal remain on the sidelines but Julian Araujo is on the verge of a comeback and will be given a late fitness test.
Ipswich are still without Sammie Szmodics, Wes Burns and Chiedozie Ogbene, while Axel Tuanzebe and Conor Chaplin are doubts.
The stats
&w=707&quality=100)
Bournemouth have won just one of their last six league games and none of their last four.
Iraola's side have picked up 21 points from their 14 home games this season, which includes eye-catching victories over Arsenal, Tottenham, Manchester City and Nottingham Forest.
Ipswich have won just three league games all season.
The Tractor Boys approach Wednesday's clash on the back of five straight defeats in all competitions.
Ipswich have scored in five of their last six away games in all competitions.
Bournemouth won the reverse meeting between the sides in December 2-1 at Portman Road.
Prediction
Bournemouth were on course for a place in the FA Cup semi-finals when they were leading Manchester City at half-time on Sunday but Pep Guardiola's team recovered after the break to puncture their hopes of a trip to Wembley.
That was the Cherries' fourth defeat in their last six games in all competitions and they must now pick themselves up for the run-in as they look to ensure they at least finish in the top half of the league.
Before this week's games, there are just five points separating Chelsea in fourth down to Bournemouth in 10th so there is still an awful lot to play for in the remaining games of the campaign.
For the visitors, though, relegation back down to the Championship is looking increasingly likely as Kieran McKenna's side have lost their last four league games and a sizeable gap has now opened up between them and Wolves in 17th.
At least Ipswich do usually score, they have only failed to find the back of the net in one of their last nine outings and with Bournemouth only keeping one clean sheet in their last nine, a home win with both teams scoring looks likely.
