Boston confirmed their place in the National League next season after a 2-1 win over Gateshead.

Keaton Ward, making his 100th appearance for the Pilgrims, fired them into the lead after 10 minutes.

Luke Hannant levelled for play-off hopefuls Gateshead just six minutes later.

But James Gale beat the visitors’ offside trap and tucked away the winner in the 35th minute.
