Boston breathe life into survival bid with shock win against high-flying York
Second-bottom Boston boosted their battle to avoid relegation from the Vanarama National League with a 3-1 home victory over promotion-chasing York.
The visitors went ahead in the seventh minute thanks to a stunning strike from Tyrese Sinclair, who cut in from the left before finding the top corner from 30 yards.
York goalkeeper Harrison Male made fantastic saves to deny Jimmy Knowles and Connor Teale before the latter levelled in the 28th minute after firing into the bottom corner.
Boston keeper Cameron Gregory was on top form to thwart Ollie Pearce and Malachi Fagan-Walcott and those saves proved vital when Knowles struck into the top corner in the 67th minute.
Substitute Jacob Hazel added a third goal three minutes from time as Boston snapped a six-game winless streak in style.
