Borussia Dortmund vs Holstein Kiel predictions: Goal machine Guirassy to shine again

&w=707&quality=100)
- Borussia Dortmund head into the final day sitting fifth, one point off the Champions League places
- Holstein Kiel’s relegation was confirmed last weekend
- Recommended bet: Serhou Guirassy to score at least two goals
Borussia Dortmund need a win on the final day to have any chance of securing Champions League football but, luckily, they have a great opportunity to keep their side of the bargain as they take on already-relegated Holstein Kiel.
Kiel’s relegation was confirmed by their 2-1 defeat to Freiburg last weekend and the fact they have nothing to play for while Dortmund are in a must-win scenario means the hosts are firm favourites to claim the spoils.
It seems extremely likely BVB will gain the points they need in front of an expectant Signal Iduna Park crowd and their star striker, Serhou Guirassy, could help secure them.
Team news
Dortmund will be without suspended midfielder Pascal Gross and injured centre-back Nico Schlotterbeck, while Marcel Sabitzer and Maximilian Beier need to be assessed.
Holstein have three confirmed absentees, with Colin Kleine-Bekel and Marco Komenda injured and Armin Gigovic suspended.
Ivan Nekic, Patrick Erras and Andu Kelati are doubts.
The stats
&w=707&quality=100)
Dortmund have won five straight games, scoring 17 goals in that run, with Guirassy accounting for eight of those.
The Guinea international has also netted six in his last three home games.
Holstein have lost just one of their last five away matches.
The visitors also landed a shock 4-2 victory over Dortmund in the reverse fixture, but having already been relegated their performance may be less spirited this time around.
Both teams to score has landed in seven of BVB’s last nine matches.
Prediction
A kind fixture list means a win should be enough to secure Champions League football for Dortmund, as third-placed Eintracht Frankfurt take on fourth-placed Freiburg on the final day.
Assuming BVB take three points from what should be a straightforward clash with Kiel, a draw between those two would see Niko Kovac’s side jump to fourth while a loss for either side would allow them to leapfrog the defeated team.
Should Frankfurt lose, however, Dortmund would need to make up a three-goal swing to leapfrog them and they will take a gung-ho approach into their final-day fixture in case it does come down to goal difference.
A clash with already-relegated Kiel will provide them with a great opportunity to boost their goal difference and you can guarantee that Guirassy will be at the heart of everything they do going forward.
The Guinean has scored eight of Dortmund’s last 17 goals and has netted six in his last three appearances at Signal Iduna Park.
