Australia vs British and Irish Lions third Test predictions: Lions to roar to clean sweep

The Lions have not earned a clean sweep since a 4-0 win in Argentina in 1927
The Lions have won all eight of their matches on Australian soil this tour
Recommended bet: British & Irish Lions -9.5 handicap
The British & Irish Lions will be looking to make history at Accor Stadium on Saturday as they hope to secure a 3-0 series clean sweep against Australia when they clash in Sydney.
Winning the first two Tests in Brisbane and Melbourne, head coach Andy Farrell and his side know they will be heading home as series winners.
However, the class of 2025 can mark themselves down in Lions’ history if they secure an elusive 3-0 series victory on Saturday morning.
The Wallabies will look to do everything in their power to finish the series on a high after what was a heartbreaking 29-26 defeat at the MCG last weekend.

Team news
Despite the bruising encounter at the MCG and growing talk that squad rotation might follow with the series already won, Farrell has opted for just two changes to his starting XV for the final Test against the Wallabies.
Blair Kinghorn steps in for James Lowe on the left wing, while James Ryan replaces Ollie Chessum in the second row, with Chessum shifting to the bench.
On the Wallabies’ side, head coach Joe Schmidt conceded that lifting his squad this week had been a challenge after their dramatic collapse in Melbourne, where they surrendered an 18-point lead to lose the second Test in gut-wrenching fashion.
Rob Valetini, a dominant presence in the first half at the MCG, has been ruled out with a calf injury. He’s replaced in the back row by Tom Hooper, while Taniela Tupou brings his power to the front row at tighthead prop.
Veteran scrum-half Nic White, who will retire from international rugby after Saturday’s clash, is named in the starting XV and will partner fly-half Tom Lynagh in the halves.
There’s one further change to the backline, with Dylan Pietsch coming in on the wing for the injured Harry Potter.
Meanwhile, back-rower Carlo Tizzano, who was central to the now-infamous ruck involving Lions flanker Jac Morgan at the end of the second Test, has been omitted from the matchday squad with Schmidt keen on the flanker being taken out of the limelight.
The stats
The Lions are looking for a clean sweep on this Australia tour, having won all eight of their matches so far.
Farrell’s Lions have scored an average of 28 points over the first two Tests.
Scotland internationals have scored in both of the first two Tests, with Sione Tuipulotu and Huw Jones getting on the scoresheet.
The last time these sides met, in Sydney in 2013, the Lions ran out 41-16 winners.

Prediction
With the pressure now off after a series-winning performance in Melbourne, this Lions side could let loose against a Wallabies team with only pride to play for.
Expect the Lions to chance their arm more on Saturday and use the likes of Freeman, Kinghorn and Keenan in the wide channels.
With a more attacking brand of rugby on the cards, the Lions can build the score and, like they did in Sydney 12 years ago, put the Wallabies to the sword in this one by earning a big win and secure a glorious series whitewash in the process.
