Arsenal vs Fulham predictions: Cottagers capable of making their Emirates mark

&w=707&quality=100)
- Gunners on course to finish second in Premier League for third successive season
- Fulham are one of a host of teams with their eyes on Champions League qualification
- Recommended bet: Both teams to score
Arsenal look set to find one team too good for them again this season with Liverpool enjoying a 12-point lead at the top of the Premier League, but the Gunners will not be able to slack off as they entertain Fulham on Tuesday.
The Cottagers are licking their wounds after a 3-0 home thumping against Crystal Palace in their FA Cup quarter-final on Saturday, but they are set to be positive as they look to emulate London rivals West Ham and collect three points at the Emirates.
Team news
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is set to be without Gabriel Jesus, Kai Havertz, Riccardo Calafiori and Takehiro Tomiyasu, but Bukayo Saka is in line to return to the squad after a lengthy lay-off with a hamstring injury.
Fulham defender Kenny Tete has a knee injury and will be joined on the sidelines by Harry Wilson and Reiss Nelson.
The stats
&w=707&quality=100)
Both teams have scored in nine of Fulham’s last 10 away matches.
Arsenal have lost just one of their last 19 games.
The Gunners have drawn seven of their 11 showdowns with teams in the Premier League’s top eight this season.
Six of Arsenal’s last seven games have featured fewer than three goals.
Fulham have kept a clean sheet in just three of their 14 league away encounters this term.
Prediction
The frustration will be tangible at the Emirates with Arsenal having played solidly through the season but still allowed Liverpool to claim a stranglehold on the Premier League title race, but do not rule out Fulham finding the net upon their visit on Tuesday.
The Gunners have lost just once at home this season — a 1-0 reverse against West Ham at the beginning of March — but the Cottagers have proved they can penetrate any defence in the top flight this season, notching in all 17 of their road outings since they were unfortunate to lose 1-0 at Manchester United on the opening evening of the campaign.
Marco Silva’s team have little time to rue their 3-0 defeat to Palace in the FA Cup on Saturday, because there is still a chance they can accumulate enough points from their remaining nine league games to secure European qualification and even a Champions League spot.
That is a pretty big carrot to be dangled in front of the Cottagers and they can threaten even the Premier League’s strongest rearguard.
With Saka set to play some sort of role, the home side could be galvanised by the England winger’s return from injury, and there looks to be value in backing this to be an entertaining encounter in which both teams find the net.
