Angelo Cappello’s first-half goal gave Halifax a 1-0 win over Woking in the National League.
Cappello’s 14th-minute strike, where he cut in from the left and fired into the far corner, got the Shaymen back to winning ways following back-to-back defeats against Rochdale and York.
Deon Moore came close to equalising a minute later but he was denied by home goalkeeper Sam Johnson.
The Cards, who are hovering above the relegation zone, pushed for a leveller in the second half, but Jamie Andrews could not beat Johnson.
