Brendan Rodgers' Celtic have been in fine scoring form of late
Brendan Rodgers' Celtic have been in fine scoring form of late

- Bottom club St Johnstone could be relegated if they fail to win at Hearts
- 10th-placed Dundee host 11th-placed Ross County in a crunch clash in the scrap for survival
- Aberdeen take on champions Celtic, who have scored 14 goals in their last four matches

St Johnstone's home win over Ross County on Saturday kept alive their hopes of avoiding automatic relegation from the Scottish Premiership and they need another positive result at Hearts on Wednesday.

Dundee and Ross County, the teams immediately above Saints in the table, meet at Dens Park while champions Celtic travel to fourth-placed Aberdeen, who are chasing European qualification.

Aberdeen vs Celtic (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Celtic have won three of their last four league matches by 5-1, 5-0 and 3-1 scorelines and the exception was a 1-1 derby draw at Rangers.

The champions can claim a narrow victory at Aberdeen, whose Europa League qualification hopes were dented by defeats to St Mirren and Rangers in their last two games.

Score prediction: Aberdeen 1-2 Celtic

Dundee vs Ross County (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Ross County's 2-1 reverse at bottom club St Johnstone has left them in the relegation play-off position with just two games remaining.

County have lost their last seven league fixtures but they are capable of grinding out a tense draw with Dundee, who are just two points better off than their visitors.

Score prediction: Dundee 1-1 Ross County

Hearts vs St Johnstone (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

St Johnstone are battling hard for their top-flight status, upsetting Celtic 1-0 at the start of April and beating survival rivals Ross County last Saturday.

However, they have lost 12 of their 18 away fixtures this term and look set for another defeat on the road at Hearts, whose interim manager Liam Fox led them to an impressive 3-0 weekend win over Motherwell.

Score prediction: Hearts 3-1 St Johnstone

Motherwell vs Kilmarnock (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Kilmarnock are finishing the campaign strongly, winning four of their last five matches and keeping clean sheets in three of those victories.

That run includes a 2-0 home win over Motherwell, who have failed to score in subsequent fixtures at home and away against Hearts and could suffer a low-scoring defeat on Wednesday.

Score prediction: Motherwell 0-1 Kilmarnock

Rangers vs Dundee United (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Rangers ended a four-match winless streak in style, thumping Aberdeen 4-0 at Ibrox on Sunday, but they had failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their previous 10 Premiership matches.

Dundee United still have a chance of pipping the Dons to a place in next season's Conference League and they can get on the scoresheet in a defeat in Glasgow.

Score prediction: Rangers 2-1 Dundee United

St Mirren vs Hibernian (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

St Mirren have won three of their last four home games, drawing 2-2 with Rangers in the other one, and an entertaining draw could be on the cards when they host Hibernian.

The home side have scored 17 goals in their last eight league matches but third-placed Hibs, who are closing in on Europa League qualification, also pack a punch in attack.

Score prediction: St Mirren 2-2 Hibernian
