Notts County slipped three points off the pace in the League Two automatic-promotion race after Alassana Jatta’s last-gasp goal salvaged a 2-2 draw at Fleetwood.

After Ryan Graydon’s quick brace turned the match around following George Abbott’s opener, Jatta was on hand to steal a point with his 19th goal of the season at the death.

On-loan Tottenham midfielder Abbott forced a mistake at the back and held his nerve to steer home the opener in the 16th minute at Highbury.

Jay Lynch produced a brilliant save to keep out Jatta, while Owen Davenport missed the chance to draw the hosts level as he fired wide.

Lynch again frustrated the promotion-chasing Magpies as he denied Abbott a second just before the hour.

Graydon earned the Cod Army a penalty when he was felled by Alex Bass and beat the keeper from 12 yards to level proceedings in the 68th minute.

And Graydon struck his fourth goal in three games two minutes later to fire the hosts ahead.

Shaun Rooney almost wrapped up the points with a diving header.

But Jatta stroked home a late leveller at the back post in the 90th minute to ensure a share of the spoils.
