Match Preview

Rewind back to two years ago, and it is deja vu for a major Women’s final as Spain and England meet again.

The Women’s World Cup Final 2023 saw heartbreak for the Lionesses as they lost 1-0 to Spain. A final that was marred by controversy afterwards, England will be out for revenge this time in the final of the Euros.

England have had a tough defence of their title since the quarter-finals stage, while Spain have made light work of their opponents up until the semi-final that needed extra-time to secure their place in the final.

Olga Carmona, the lone goalscorer of the 2023 World Cup Final, will be a part of the Spain starting 11. Can England get back on top of their game and take one back against Spain after the heartbreak of the World Cup? Or can Spain inflict yet another major final defeat?
