Manchester United faces Chelsea after a disappointing derby loss away at Manchester City last weekend. Following the 3-0 result, further criticisms of Ruben Amorim's side were made, and their next set of fixtures is set to be tough. The Red Devils will be keen to get a result in front of their home fans against a Chelsea side that has not only played an extra match in between but has also looked to be struggling for a consistent run of form.
Chelsea, meanwhile, are heading into the fixture after a 2-2 draw against Brentford in their last match in the Premier League and a 3-2 defeat in their first match in the Champions League against Bayern Munich. The London side will be keen to get things back on track with a win against a struggling Man Utd side fresh off defeat in the Manchester derby. Chelsea’s win rate against Manchester United is their lowest away to any side they have played more than 10 times, and Enzo Maresca’s side will be keen to kick-start the turnaround.
Man United
Lisandro Martinez remains the one long-term injury for Manchester United.
Mason Mount and Matheus Cunha are in doubt, having picked up injuries before the international break.
Chelsea
Levi Colwill is Chelsea’s only long-term injury.
Liam Delap and Dario Essugo will miss out with injuries that are expected to last a couple of months.
Benoit Badiashile and Romeo Lavia remain out.
